A lot happened this week! If you don’t have your bingo card yet- simply donate at least $25 to one of the charities or venmo @blisssawyer and we will send your individual bingo card.
Week 2 gift card winner - Naomi McClure
NOTE: Each week we will pick a random gift card winner from everyone playing bingo. We were given quite a few gift cards so we will also give out gift cards (until we run out) to anyone that gets a 5 in a row bingo. Just send a message once you have BINGO. There are 36 options so you may not have some of the items.

Offered food - On Friday we took a little detour to avoid a gravelly hill, and met Edward Stahl, the minister of a Hutterite colony who gave us so much fresh food. When we said we couldn’t carry that much, he just said not my problem and kept giving us more with a laugh. See previous post for details.
Jump in water with bike clothes on- Riding from Cle Elum to Peshasten was very hard and the weather was super hot. So we stopped at the Teanaway river, and the Swauk creek twice to cool off. Jumped in, didn’t even take off my helmet once. By the time we got to peshastin everything was dry, even the shoes.

Repair with zip tie- The second night Robert was so tired and tried to kick off his shoes without opening the quick release and snapped then wire on left shoe, So he’s been riding with the shoe zip tied closed since.

We give food to someone - Another long distance cyclist camped near us - Last Saturday we were cooking breakfast at Fishtrap Lake, and there was one other cyclist who had camped nearby. As he was pushing his bike to the road Bliss made him stop and have a blueberry pancake with us. He said it was the best pancake he’s ever had. Pretty sure that was just hungry biker talk.
Robert cut himself carrying Bliss’ bike up a bridge and also scraped his leg on a log while retrieving the food bag stashed away from camp. There was only a tiny bit of blood, so we aren’t going to count that yet. Pretty sure more blood is to come.
We saw several deer, a bald eagle in a nest, but very far away, about 50 tiny rabbits, a coyote crossing the road, two hawks, and a blue heron flying over Blue Heron Park. We’re waiting for something a bit more spectacular to cross off the bingo list.
We’ve seen 2 deer carcasses, 3 fat black mice, 2 snakes, 2 possums (1 very flat), and two birds dead on the road. But still not 3 different kinds on the same day (our game, our rules).
