To celebrate our 40th anniversary in 2026, we (Robert & Bliss) are cycling across the United States: a 4,000-mile journey with 140,000 feet of climbing. What began 25 years ago as short rides together has grown into a love for long-distance, self-supported bike-packing across the U.S. and Europe, and this will be our biggest adventure yet.

But this ride is about more than just us. We’re turning it into a charity mission to support two causes close to our hearts: warm beds and full bellies.

Bliss, with 35 years in the housing industry, believes deeply in the power of stable housing and is riding for Habitat for Humanity, which builds strength and self-reliance through shelter.

Robert, a retired professor of Exercise Physiology, volunteers with Tabitha’s Way Food Pantry, helping ensure families in need have enough to eat and resources for future self sufficiency.

We know this journey will bring challenges, but riding for a purpose will turn the hardest moments into something meaningful. The world is wide, full of people we’ve yet to meet and we’re grateful to explore it one pedal stroke at a time.
